In this camp campers will make Glow-in-the-dark volcanoes, chalk, crystals, density charms, take home 3-D and light-diffracting glasses, a take-home spectroscope and periscope, and much more!

First Grade Summer Camp Sessions

NHMU first grade camps are for children who will enter the first grade in the fall of 2024. Most sessions are offered in a full-day, Monday-Thursday format with no camp on Friday. There are two 3-day weeks (M-W). We'll have a morning and an afternoon snack break, along with a midday lunch break. Two substantial snacks, a non-refrigerated lunch, and a water bottle will need to be brought from home each day. Camp sessions of the same name are the exact same camp, just offered at a different time; please don’t register for both sessions. Camp drop-off and pick-up take place at NHMU, unless otherwise noted. Please note that not all school districts begin and end summer break at the same time—check your school schedule before registering.

All sessions are offered half-day (AM or PM); most are Monday – Thursday format. We have 2 short weeks that run Monday – Wednesday. Note that AM and PM sessions are identical in content and so full day registration is not permitted. Your camper will need to bring a snack and a water bottle each day.
