DinoFest 2022: In Living Color

We are looking forward to hosting our sixth annual DinoFest at NHMU the weekend of January 29-30, 2022, when a world-class lineup of paleontologists will investigate Dinosaurs In Living Color! Have you ever wondered how scientists know what color dinosaurs were? Whether they were scaly or fluffy? Find out how we know these things at this year’s DinoFest, where we will explore the colorful details of what dinosaurs and their world looked like! Once again DinoFest will play host to leading paleontologists from around the world, who will present groundbreaking keynote and DinoBite talks and interact with attendees. DinoFest guests will enjoy special access to the Paleo Prep Lab and Paleontology Collections to get up close with incredible fossils, and we'll also have community partners on site from the region's many dinosaur research and educational communities.

Utah Black History

Now is the perfect time to see our traveling exhibit featuring *Utah’s* own Black history on temporary display in the Eccles Art Gallery at Salt Lake Community College’s South City Campus! While the Utah Black History Museum bus often travels to schools and events, this is a great opportunity to spend some time experiencing the exhibit in a more traditional way. It will be the perfect warm and cozy indoor space for the exhibit as winter approaches. Bring your family and friends for a moving, important, memorable museum visit you’ll never forget.
