Horse Lover At Trefoil Ranch (Entering Grades 4-5)

Visit the Trefoil Ranch horses four times during this camp session! At the stables, you’ll learn how to be safe around horses, grooming techniques, and how to tack your horse. While riding, you’ll learn how to coax your horse into motion, and steer your horse in different patterns. Get plenty of practice on your riding form before heading out of the arena for a meadow ride!
Pony Tails at Trefoil Ranch (Entering Grades 2-3)

Get to know Trefoil Ranch’s horses as you visit the stables three times during this camp session. Learn how to start, stop, and turn your horse before playing games such as “Red Light, Green Light” on horseback! In addition to riding in the arena, you’ll learn what a horse eats, how to groom a horse, and how to stay safe around horses. Round out your camp experience by making a horse craft, participating in a cookout, and other activities in the new camper choice blocks!
Take the Reins at Trefoil Ranch (Entering Grades 8-9)

Take your horse skills to the next level as you visit the stables five times during this session, advancing your Western riding skills and equine care knowledge. Enjoy bringing the horses in for the day from the pasture, as well as grooming and tacking them during Saddle Club. In this session, you will take an extended trail ride off site with a sack lunch. You’ll also get an introduction to rodeo skills such as flag patterns and racing patterns.
Wrangler-in-Training at Trefoil Ranch (Entering Grades 10-12)

Wrangler-in-Training is a two-week leadership program where you’ll continue to expand your knowledge of the equestrian program at Trefoil Ranch, while also learning to work with younger campers throughout your stay. Camp Floyd / Stagecoach Inn State Park & Museum
Camp Floyd History Camps for kids are a fun-filled educational experience about how soldiers lived at Camp Floyd between 1858 – 1861, and how the Utah War served pre-Civil War objectives. Campers meet uniformed interpreters, play 19th-century games, drill, march and set up a soldier’s camp, fire an 1860s period firearm, make and take home soldier craft activities. Other activities include conducting a full-scale military exercise, and observing muskets and a cannon fired.

This camp will help shed some light on the so-called darkness of the universe and delve into the physics of these objects. You'll attend personal lectures from U of U astronomers and demos to help demonstrate the physical properties of objects we can only see through a telescope.
