Summer Camp – Mondays at 1pm & 4pm – June 2nd to August 11th

Camp Descriptions:
Little Wigglers (Small Snakes) – Let’s get excited about reptiles while we meet and greet with some of our smallest legless ambassadors!
Komodo’s Cousins (Lizards) – Meet several species of monitor lizard and Tegu Lizard. They are cousins to the Komodo Dragon! We will also get cozy with some nicer pet lizard species such as bearded dragons and blue tongue skinks.
Slow Movers (Tortoises) – Find out why all turtles and tortoises can be called turtles but not all turtles are tortoises.
Feathered Friends (Birds) – Meet a variety of birds from around the world. Find out why feathers are so light and can yet can lift animals off the ground!
Imagination (Mystical Creatures) – be transported to a magical realm where we will interact with firecrabs, basilisk, boomslangs, dragons, and guardians of the mermaids. Bring your wand and get ready to study up on taking care of these cool creatures!
Fangs (Rattlesnakes & Rear Fanged Snakes) – What animals have fangs? What do they do? We’ll get a chance to see a rattlesnake demonstration, safely behind glass, and learn about venom and how it is both dangerous and healing.
Great at Camouflage (Alligators) – Learn the differences between crocodiles, alligators, and caiman and how they can hide so well in plain site. Kids will get a chance to pet the tails of the different species.
Big Nope Ropes (Giant Snakes) – Pythons and Boas are some of the largest species of snakes in the world. Should they be feared or are they just misunderstood? find out in this fun camp!
Ancient (Dinosaurs) – We’ll go back in time to learn about the rise and fall of the dinosaurs. We’ll get to handle some close relatives to the dinosaurs and maybe even a dinosaur of the avian variety.
Scuttle & Scurry (Bugs & Arachnids) – There are so many interesting and unique bugs in our world. We’ll spend this camp learning about some of our favorites including tarantulas, scorpions, and cockroaches just to name a few!
Backyard (Local Reptiles) – We’ll learn about all the cool reptiles you can find right in your backyard or in the hills nearby!
- Cost will be $25/child/session.
- Zookeeper time frame: 2 hours.
- Children can book single sessions or multiple sessions.
- Minimum of 4 participants to run the camp.
