Rooted In Play Outdoor Learning provides nature and play-centered enrichment classes for families in the Salt Lake area. My intention is to encourage fun and doable ways for kids and their families to get outside together, with the goal of helping kids develop the critical skills they'll need as they grow.
Lessons are geared for children ~18 months to 8 years old, with a trusted parent or caregiver, and meet weekly for 60-75 minutes. This all-seasons program utilizes the expertly-designed Tinkergarten curriculum, a sensory-rich outdoor classroom, weekly featured creatures, engaging play invitations and a season map, to create a fun and impactful learning experience. Class enrollment includes an iron-on skill badge or certificate, weekly book and podcast suggestions, at-home activity ideas, parent/caregiver resources, early access to upcoming classes/events and more! Spring 2024 Classes:
This Spring, we focus on creativity—the ability to imagine original ideas or solutions to problems and make them happen. We’ll help kids develop creative mindsets and strategies that they can use throughout their lives to invent new things, solve problems, express their ideas and feelings, and to nurture relationships. And, we’ll do it all through enriching, outdoor play!
