Students will explore different parts of the city and the outdoors while learning skills such as map reading, how to use a compass, and plant/mushroom/animal identification. While learning these skills we will explore unique places and opportunities while contributing to field research and firsthand experiencing the variety of biomes around the Salt Lake City area.

Instructor: Lindsay Mackintosh

Students will explore different parts of the city and the outdoors while learning skills such as map reading, how to use a compass, and plant/mushroom/animal identification. While learning these skills we will explore unique places and opportunities while contributing to field research and firsthand experiencing the variety of biomes around the Salt Lake City area. We will be learning about our surroundings and how to navigate through them in different ways with hiking, and scavenger hunts, and geocaching. Put on your hiking boots and grab your phone - we will be integrating exploration, technology, and science this week!
