Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Day One
We will be looking at Aeronautics, including launch, propulsion, and recovery. We will explore Newton’s laws of motion and forces of flight and how they connect to rocketry. Each child will make their own Estes rocket. They will then build a LEGO space station.
Day Two
This day is for launching rockets. We will launch any children who want to rocket. Parents are invited to watch the first thing on this day. They will then build a LEGO space station.
Day Three
We will look at robots and other technologies. We learn the differences between automatons, radio-controlled robots, and programmable robots. The children will then make their own programmable robot.
Day Four
We will learn how important clear directions are for any technology. Circuits are the next thing to build. We will finish by building an insect automaton or a drawing machine.
