Down to Earth Summer Camp

At Down to Earth Summer Camp, we are committed to providing a fully immersive outdoor experience like your child has never had before. We will learn some incredibly fun and exciting nature skills, explore the woods and creeks of Crestwood Park, and never pass up an opportunity to let our imagination run wild. We will connect with the outdoors through memorable experiences and allow games, lessons, and hikes to strengthen that bond. 

At Down to Earth Summer Camp, we will spend our days:

• Expanding our awareness outside through sensory games 

• Learning how to deal with natural hazards and stay safe

• Crafting items from nature like a stick raft or cordage from long grass 

• Navigating using just the sun and trees as our compass

• Blending in with the forest by using clay or other natural materials

• Catching and releasing fish from the creek using a primitive handline

• Learning to start fires using primitive methods such as bow drill 

• Tracking animals and learning about their prints

• Using carving knives to create our very own crafts like a wooden spoon or magic wand

We offer three different age groups for our summer camps:

1. Wild Wonders (Ages 5-6)

2. Outdoor Explorers (Ages 7-9)

3. Adventure Scouts (Ages 10-13)

As well as 8 different summer camp weeks: 

Week 1: June 12th – 16th
Week 2: June 19th – 23rd
Week 3: June 26th – 30th

Week 4: July 10th – 14th
Week 5: July 17th – 21st
Week 6: July 24th – 28th

Week 7: July 31st – Aug 4th
Week 8: Aug 7th – 11th

Summer camps will take place Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 3:00pm. The cost is $325/week. 

This is a very exciting hands-on camp where parents should expect their kids to come home wet, dirty, and tired at the end of each day but filled with stories of adventures and challenges as well as new skills to share with family and friends each day. Camps fill up fast so register today!
