The CenterPoint Academy in Centerville, Utah, teaches children and youth from 4-18 how to act, sing, and dance, but our students learn so much more than just performing. They learn confidence, self esteem, discipline, and how to work, and they have a great time and make lifelong friends in the process. CPU is with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre.

-Our instructors have more than 100 years of combined teaching experience, with performance and directorial experience at Disney World, PlayMill, Jackson Hole Playhouse, Sundance, CenterPoint Theatre, Pioneer Theatre, Hale Centre Theatre, The Grand Theatre, Utah Children’s Theatre, and more. Each instructor’s focus is not just to improve each student’s performance ability (although that’s the main thing), but also to create a safe environment that’s inclusive of every student while encouraging them to push beyond their comfort zone and expand their capability.

Our students perform throughout the Wasatch Front in every performance venue imaginable, including Pioneer Theatre, Capitol Theatre, Kingsbury Hall, Hale Centre Theatre, and especially right here on the stage at CenterPoint.

Come join our more than 550 students for weekly classes in Musical Theatre, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Group Voice, along with our best anywhere Summer Camps. Every class includes performance opportunities on the CenterPoint Mainstage and Leishman Hall.

The Academy also produces a summer musical on the CenterPoint Mainstage, along with an annual Christmas production in the Leishman Hall. These productions, while not part of any Academy class, are sponsored and produced by the Academy, and give Academy students opportunities to rehearse and perform with the fine production teams who stage CenterPoint shows throughout the year.

Arts: Performance, Dance, Drama, Music, Voice / Chorus, Participatory (e.g., music jam sessions, dancing, theater)
