Camp ICS is a ministry of Intermountain Christian School catering to children entering 2nd grade through students that are entering 5th grade. The camp runs for nine weeks of the summer from June 6-August 5, 2022. Are your kids in PreK-1st or 6th-12th grade? Check out Camp ICS Jr. (PreK-1st) or Camp ICS Teen (6th-12th)!

Dates & Times

 
  • Camp runs the week of June 6 through the week of August 1

  • Week of July 4: no Monday camp

  • Camp timeframe: 9am-3pm M-F

  • Earliest campers can arrive: 7:30am

  • Latest campers can leave without paying for aftercare: 3:30pm

  • Latest campers can leave with paying for aftercare: 5:45pm

Pricing

  • One week of camp w/out after care: $210

  • One week of camp w/ after care: $260

  • One day of camp w/out after care: $50

  • One day of camp w/ after care: $60

Discounts

  • Early bird (through February 28, 2022): $40 off weekly rates

  • Sibling discount: $40 off weekly rates (if you have a camper in Camp ICS Jr., send an email to ahobbs@intermountainchristian.org to get this discount taken off of your total)

What to Wear to Camp

 
  1. Close-toed shoes that are good for running

  2. Clothes that are suitable for playing inside and outside during the summer

  3. Clothes that do not display vulgarity or advocate for causes contrary to the teachings of the Bible

What to Bring to Camp

  1. Backpack or a tote

  2. Lunch

  3. Water bottle

  4. Snack (campers who stay for after care will be provided a second snack)

  5. Sunscreen, sun glasses, and a hat (if desired for outdoor activities)

  6. Modest bathing suit to change into and towel (for Wednesdays only)

What Not to Bring to Camp

Weekly Themes

 WEEK OF JUNE 6-10

 

Theme #1: Basketball

About the camp: Campers will learn the fundamentals of the greatest game on earth! You will run drills, play games, and take part in fun competitions. Join former Ute's basketball player and current ICS Dean of Students Mr. Drisdom for a week of fun, and together, you'll have a ball!

Theme #2: Theater

About the camp: Campers will learn the basics about the stage, how to move as an actor, some improv theater, and how to create different characters with your voice, face, and body language. Campers with no experience or a lot of experience will be challenged and engaged. A short performance will be presented at the end of the week so campers who sign up for this theme need to commit to attending each day of camp to be prepared. Join ICS Theater Director Mrs. Tally for a dramatic and fantastic week!


 WEEK OF JUNE 13-17

 

Theme #1: Ocean

About the camp: Campers will explore and learn about our amazing oceans and the cool sea creatures that live in them! Join ICS 1st Grade Teacher Mrs. Rottner for a week bubbling over with fun!

Theme #2: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

About the camp: Campers will compete in different STEM challenges. Get ready to challenge your brain in activities that make you think outside of the box! Join local 3rd Grade Teacher Ms. Creekmur for a brain stretching week of fun!


WEEK OF JUNE 20-24

 

Theme #1: Superheroes

About the camp: Campers will have fun exploring the lives of a few superheroes in the Bible and take part in a ton of fun projects. You will also get to show off some of your super abilities and learn how to be super friends! Join ICS Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Kinnaman for a super fun time!

Theme #2: Volleyball

About the camp: Campers will learn the key foundations of volleyball though skill-based drills and lots of fun games! They will gain an understanding of how to engage in community and thrive in competition while doing rowdy right. Join ICS class of 2022 graduates Ms. Renaud, Ms. Valente, and Ms. Jensen as they set you up for a great week!


WEEK OF JUNE 27-JULY 1

 

Theme #1: Art

About the camp: Campers will be exploring colors, patterns, shapes, and textures as well as using lots of glue and scissors to make fun and interesting arts and crafts. Join local teacher Ms. Veldhuis for a week of creative fun!

Theme #2: Soccer

About the camp: Campers will learn the game of soccer by participating in fun drills and scrimmages. You will learn technical skills and team bonding in the sun. Join ICS class of 2022 graduates Ms. Renaud and Ms. Burk in a fun week of football!


WEEK OF *JULY 5-8

 

Theme #1: Board Games

About the camp: Campers will learn new and exciting board games that aren't your standard classics like Monopoly or Life. Join local board game expert Mr. Prum at the table and have some fun!

*In observance of Independence Day, Camp ICS will not meet on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Team #2: Stars and Stripes

About the camp: Campers will celebrate the United States in honor of Independence Day. They will enjoy learning about our nation and do fun, crafty activities to make the American experience come to life! Join Ms. Hobbs for a week of red, white, and blue fun!


WEEK OF JULY 11-15

 

Theme #1: LEGOs

About the camp: Campers will be challenged to use LEGOs to design, create, and build all sorts of cool creations! You will be given a different challenge each day and a chance to work with other campers to also build collaboration skills. Join ICS alum Alex Baskett in building a fun week together!

Theme #2: Fairy Tales

About the camp: Campers will explore their creative side by reading, learning and getting crafty while enjoying the magical stories in a variety of fairy tales. Join ICS MS Academic Dean Mrs. Smith for a magical week!


WEEK OF JULY 18-22

 

Theme #1: Myth Busters

About the camp: Campers will take part in conducting experiments, testing urban myths with science, and conducting multiple science projects using critical thinking skills and relationship building. You will take a trip through the science world while incorporating teamwork and lots of competition! Join ICS alum Mr. Stoddard in a fun week of busting myths!

Theme #2: Coding

About the camp: Campers will be introduced to fundamental coding concepts that will help you create games and apps! You'll learn how to make animations and controls for 2D characters or design puzzle games where you can challenge your friends. In the world of coding there's still so much to be explored! Join ICS math teacher Mr. Hildebrand for a week so fun it'll blow your circuits!


WEEK OF JULY 25-29

 

Theme #1: Water Games

About the camp: Campers will enjoy the summer weather to its fullest with a great week filled with water activities, games, and competitions! You will enjoy summer snacks to beat the heat and creative ways to stay cool. Join ICS Operations Administrative Assistant Mrs. Stoddard for a waterfall of fun!

Theme #2: Crafts

About the camp: Campers will get creative with tons of fun crafts. They'll build a marshmallow gun and have a marshmallow war, decorate cookies and eat them, and make duct tape creations. Join local crafting expert Mrs. York for a week that rocks!


WEEK OF AUGUST 1-5

 

Theme #1: Asian Cultures

About the camp: Campers will take part in virtual field trips, learning new languages, crafts, food, dances, games, and so much more! It will be a fantastic week learning about various cultures and experiences around the globe. Join ICS 4th grade teacher Miss Shin (soon to be Mrs. Lee) for a trip to the other side of the globe!

Theme #2: Cooking

About the camp: Campers will learn to take simple, every day ingredients and turn them into something amazing. No previous skills needed but liking food is a must! You will follow recipes, create your own recipes, and take part in "Cuzuco Chopped" day at the end to display their newly learned skills. Join ICS Spanish Teacher Mrs. Pimentel as you cook up a great week!
