Toy Clinic (Age 8-10) | Kids Out and About Salt Lake City

Toy Clinic (Age 8-10)

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/02/2024
Join us in this toy-tastic workshop where you will learn the science behind toys. Learn basics of engineering and electronics while using kits and micro-processors to discover how each toy works with servo motors and sensors. Then, combine your engineering, designing, and building skills to try to revive toys and LEDs. If the weather permits, you will experience using solar panels on toys as well.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

You'll even design your own solar car and put your new skills to the test by creating a couple of simple toys of your own! Co-sponsored with Learning Through Robotics.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Introduction to micro-controllers, servo motors and sensors
  • Solar panels and green energy
  • Introduction to LED lights
  • Creative building designs
