Springville Museum of Art
The Springville Museum of Art is Utah’s first museum for the visual fine arts. Dedicated as a “Sanctuary of Beauty and a Temple of Contemplation” by David O. McKay, the Museum houses nearly 3,000 works; 2,000 of which are Utah art. Twentieth Century Russian-Soviet Socialist Realism, an impressive collection of 150 years of Utah fine art, and American Realist art comprise the permanent collection. The Museum is a key promoter and contributor to the arts in Utah, with over 15 exhibitions annually. The Museum features artwork displayed throughout 29 galleries in this 45,000 square foot facility and a beautiful outdoor sculpture garden.
The Museum seeks to fulfill its mission by refining minds and building character through the fine arts. The history of the Museum began in 1903, with the donation of art work to Springville High School by Museum founders Cyrus E. Dallin and John Hafen. As official State Wide Art Partnership (SWAP) headquarters, the Museum is home for visual art educational outreach programs to the schools of Utah.
A variety of exhibitions, concerts, programs and special events are offered throughout the year. The Museum annually serves nearly 90,000 visitors onsite, 20,000 off-site, and is available for rentals.
Parking: Free parking is available in the parking lot directly east of the building. Additional free parking is located west of the museum on 100 E.
Location & Directions: 126 E. 400 S. Springville, Utah, 84663. The Museum is 60 minutes south of the Salt Lake City International Airport. From I-15 southbound, take exit 260 east. Continue on 400 South for 2 miles. The entrance to the Museum is on the East side of the building.

Museum Etiquette: Protect the art – Please help ensure the safety of our art collection by not touching, and standing at least three feet away from the art work. Do not bring food, drink, cigarettes and potentially damaging articles (umbrellas, back-carried bags, large handbags, or backpacks) into the Museum.
Visiting with Children: Children are welcome to enjoy the Museum with adult supervision. Strollers and chest-carried baby packs are permitted, back-baby carriers and backpacks are not allowed in the Museum, as they pose a risk to the art work.
Accessibility: The Museum is fully ADA accessible, with the exception of the Step-Down Gallery. We have an elevator to enable ease of access to the upper and lower levels, including the restrooms. We also have a wheelchair for patrons to use - please ask at the East Desk upon arrival.
