Red Butte Botanical Garden, located on 100 acres in the foothills on the eastern edge of the University of Utah campus, is an official arboretum of the state of Utah. The Garden has welcomed guests since 1985 and is the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West with over 20 acres of display gardens and five miles of hiking trails winding through an extensive Natural Area. The Garden; which is community-funded; is renowned for its numerous plant collections, display gardens, 450,000 springtime blooming bulbs; including a vast collection of daffodils; world-class outdoor summer concert series, and award-winning horticulture-based educational programs. Open seven days a week - Summer hours: 9AM-9PM, Spring & Fall hours: 9AM-7:30PM, Winter hours: 9AM-5PM (Closed Thanksgiving Day & Dec 24 - Jan 1)
