Experiment with real solar panels, windmill energy converters, and air pressure gauge to learn how they work. Practice using tools like levers, cams, gears and pulleys to build multiple models. Then, use your model to simulate real-life machines such as sweeping machines, windmills, and power cars to aid in your exploration. Our planet's fate is in your hands in this green-thinking robotics class. Co-sponsored with Learning Through Robotics.
Learning Outcomes:
- Introduction to complex machines
- Unit measurements and exercises using solar panels, levers, cams, gears and pulleys
- Simulating real-life machines
This engineering class is for those who design and build. Programming concepts are not covered. If you are enrolled for Green Energy Robotics, do not sign up for this class. The equipment and some projects might be repetitive. No prior experience necessary.
