Students in this online camp will have a blended learning platform of self-paced video tutorials and independent exploration paired with guided live instruction with a professional composer. Students will meet as a group for one hour each day from 10:00-11:00, and they will also have a daily private lesson with the instructor to receive coaching on their compositions. Students will be contacted by the instructor to schedule their lesson time between 11:00-1:00.

If you are a resident of the Twin Cities, we are happy to loan you a laptop with Reason software and a MIDI keyboard to use during the camp. If you do not live in the Twin Cities, we recommend that you have a laptop/desktop computer and MIDI keyboard at home. We use Reason software for this camp. Please contact Jon Iverson at Iverson.jon@macphail.org to get more information about regarding the software needed for camp.

Any student currently enrolled in band, orchestra or choir is welcome to join this camp. No composing experience is necessary.
