Day 1
Welcome to the exciting world of Unruly Splats! In this lesson, students will be introduced to the basics of Unruly Splats, an innovative tool that combines physical activity with interactive coding. Designed to engage young learners, Unruly Splats encourage students to stomp, jump, and run as they learn fundamental programming concepts through fun and dynamic games.
Day 2
The "Voting Machine" lesson is a fun and educational activity designed to introduce students to basic programming concepts using Unruly Splats. This program demonstrates the differences between the "when program starts" and "when splat pressed" blocks while also introducing the concept of scoring. By lighting up Splats with different colors to represent voting options, students can engage in group voting activities. This lesson encourages collaboration and discussion as each group chooses a voting topic and participates in a group vote. It's an excellent low-movement introduction to Splats, promoting both interactive learning and classroom engagement.
Day 3
The Animal Relay Race is designed to get students moving, thinking, and working together. Each team will race against the clock, taking turns to dash to their designated Splat and activate it with a stomp. But there’s a twist – they’ll be doing this while acting out different animals, adding an element of drama and laughter to the race!
Day 4
Welcome to a thrilling adventure of quick decisions and chance with "Four Corners Splat!" This game blends the fun of the classic playground favorite with a twist of technology, using Unruly Splats. In this energetic game, students will dash to different corners, test their luck, and dive into the basics of programming all at once. Get ready to move, think, and laugh as we discover who will be the last one standing in the electrifying game of "Four Corners Splat!"
