Build-A-Ballet: The Little Mermaid

Bring your budding dancers to this unique workshop where they will learn about sets, costumes, dance, and more! Here they will learn ballet technique and the actual process of creating a ballet. This camp is for ages 7-10 and for ages 11-14 (please refer to the website for further information).

SETS! COSTUMES! DANCE! ACTION!
Have the opportunity to learn the craft of productions with sets, costumes, dance, and more. Students in this unique workshop will spend a week exploring the many facets of how a ballet makes its way to the stage, with three different ballets to choose from. Students will have daily ballet technique classes and learn how to create a performance, from the beginnings of an idea to its presentation on stage, including choreography, marketing, scenery, and production. The camp ends with a performance of the ballet, where the students exhibit all they have learned while creating the production. No dance experience needed. Students should bring a lunch or several snacks each day.
