Description: This program for children from 6-14 focuses on the elements (line, value, shape, color, and texture) and principles (balance, harmony, unity, rhythm, and contrast) of art. Changing projects bring new challenges to the students while maintaining focus on these elements and principles. They use a variety of media. Students who have reached a good level of understanding the basics can move on to individualized projects while in the same class. Children who enroll for 3 years will have the opportunity to explore all principals and elements of art.
Ages 6-8: Mondays, 4-5 PM
Ages 9-11: Tuesdays, 4-5 PM
Ages 12-14: Thursdays, 4-5 PM
Cost: $50 for 5 classes + $10 supplies
