7th–8th Grade Camp

Designed for middle school campers, this session creates space for deeper connection, self-discovery, and personal growth. Campers are given more choice and responsibility in shaping their camp experience, while still being supported by dedicated staff. Activities may include outdoor adventures, group challenges, creative expression, and meaningful conversations around identity, community, and faith. This camp fosters a strong sense of belonging and encourages campers to step into leadership, try new things, and build lasting friendships. During this session, campers will also enjoy a special trip to Deer Creek Reservoir for a lake day and cookout.Camp Tuttle, the Episcopal Church in Utah’s outdoor ministry, has been creating meaningful camp experiences since 1958. Located in the beautiful mountains of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Camp Tuttle offers overnight camps for youth, families, and adults focused on connection, growth, and adventure.

Our programs are designed to help campers connect with themselves, others, nature, and the Divine through a balance of guided activities and camper choice. From rock climbing and hiking to arts & crafts, group games, and campfire programs, each day is filled with opportunities for fun, challenge, and discovery.

Camp Tuttle is committed to being an inclusive and welcoming community where all are invited, regardless of background or experience. Campers are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, build friendships, and grow in confidence in a supportive and nurturing environment.
