Spring Break Theatre Classes: Dramatic Myths, Tales, and Stories on the Virtual Stage
March 29 through April 2 from 10 am to 2 pm
Get ready for the spotlight in a week of engaging acting and theatre activities for young performers. Each day will be a new theme focused on different stories and tales from around the world and to the stars beyond. Students will learn about improvisation, scene study, character exploration, technical theatre, and so much more. Come be dramatic on the virtual stage this spring break! Sign up for one class or the entire week. Each day is a new experience.
Open to ages 8 to 12.
$10 a class/ $50 a week (residents)
$13 a class/ $65 a week (non-resident)
Monday, March 29: Fairy Tales with a Twist
Acting out classic fairy tales with a modern twist, students will learn how to develop characters read and perform scenes and monologues, and play fairy tale-themed theatre games. With a special focus on improvisational skills.

Tuesday, March 30: Myths & Legends
Take a trip around the world and discover theatre scenes based on myths and legends. Whether exploring Greek mythology or African Folktales, join us for character exploration and games for a day of fun virtual theatre. With a special focus on props and costumes.

Wednesday, March 31: Blast off to Outer Space
From aliens to astronauts and back to Earth again. Using radio drama scripts and sci-fi stories, students will get to perform and create their own unique space dramas and sound effects.

Thursday, April 1: Adventures and Quests
Sometimes the journey is as much fun as the destination! Come explore how heroes conquer their fears and make friends along the way to their goals, using adventure-themed stories and audition skills.

Friday, April 2: Virtual Theatre Tales
Telling stories on the virtual stage is a new frontier for the world of theatre. Let us explore engaging virtual plays, scenes, and stories that have been written to be performed online.
