PBS Utah Reading Marathon Kickoff Party

PAWS and Read with PBS Utah. Join us for the Reading Marathon Kickoff Party, featuring Daniel Tiger, Nature Cat & Clifford the Big Red Dog. Halloween costumes and stuffed animal "pets" are encouraged.

The PBS Utah Kids & Education Education team invites you to PAWS and Read with us, kicking off our 32nd annual Reading Marathon and Adventure Pass program. We are cohosting our Reading Marathon Kickoff Party with the Salt Lake City Library at the Main Branch. It will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 10AM-2PM.
Join us for this free event, which will be a Halloween party (costumes encouraged!) packed with family-friendly fun, STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) and literacy activities, face painting, photo booths, and resources. We will even have some meet and greets with some PBS KIDS characters, who have penciled us into their busy schedule.

During the month of November, children will read 600 min for the month, or 20 min a day. At the end of the month, they will submit minutes on an online portal to receive a community Adventure Pass. This pass is filled with vouchers contributed by generous community partners for free or reduced pricing on individual and/or family visits to venues around Utah throughout 2025.
