Groups from senior center and assisted living centers are welcome and encouraged to attend – there is plenty of free parking for shuttles, buses and cars. The Orem Heritage Museum will also be open for free tours after the event, and the museum features a whole room filled with incredible military and veterans displays.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: Ken & Carol Bona
Vietnam veteran Ken Bona joined the Marine Corps when he was 16 years old, and was stationed in Hawaii. Sent back home after finding out his Dad was dying, he met his wife Carol, who was only 14 at the time. They married when she was just 15 years old, and she joined him as he continued his service in the Marines. They traveled from East to West, and back to Hawaii. Ken had two tours to Vietnam - he was the first there and the last to leave. This patriotic couple have been married for 60 years and have many incredible stories and experiences to share.
