November 19 | Moon Rover Design Challenge
A moon rover is a vehicle that is used to travel around on the moon. Because there is very little gravity on the moon and because there are no roads on the moon, moon rovers are built specially to be able to move in those conditions. Your challenge is to design your own rubber band powered moon rover. Moon rover’s cannot be larger than six inches square and must be powered entirely by rubber bands. (No batteries or motors) Your rover will be tested by seeing how far it can travel on a bumpy road. Make sure your rover can make its way over rocks and through pot holes. After you wind up your rubber bands, the moon rover must function completely on its own. You cannot use a kit or other pre-made items when building your moon rover. Test, refine and come with the best moon rover you can build!
