Why would anyone want to work that hard?
Did we mention the fun? It’s fun! Plus…the kids get to keep all the money they make. Add to that a great T-shirt and KIDZ BIZ Survival Kit for each participant, and they have the potential for a really great day.
What kind of businesses will be included?
That’s the best part! The kids get to be a creative entrepreneur. They can manufacture something, offer a service, or sell a product bought from a wholesaler. Keep in mind that we are looking for a wide variety of concepts, however, no alcohol, tobacco, fireworks, cooked items, food, drink, or live animals will be allowed. Also, KIDZ BIZ businesses must have minimal parental involvement.
When does it all happen?
The KIDZ BIZ market day will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 12p to 5p in center court.This is the perfect time for children to test out their concepts, sales skills and see if their business model will work. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony at 5:30pm. There will also be training orientations held prior to the event to assist participants with advice and mentoring.
How can Kids be in KIDZ BIZ?
First, the kids must have a business idea, then complete a Kidz Biz Application form and return it to Layton Hills Mall no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, July 31st. Consultations will be conducted via telephone prior to the orientation to assist in creating business models for the 2017 event. Due to space restrictions, participants are limited. How can you get involved?
We are excited to bring this event back for the third year in a row, and we can’t wait to see our mini entrepreneurs in action. We are looking for partners to help continue the growth of this event into a Layton Hills Mall tradition and provide an incredible outlet for children through a community-based collaboration. Below are a few opportunities on how you can be involved. And as always we are open to any ideas you may have for making a partnership work.

TIER ONE - $500
- Logo placement on all collateral pieces including T Shirts and mall signage (22” X 28” posters)
- Name mentions as partnership with KIDZ BIZ on media tags, landing pages and flyers
- Give away in the survival kit

TIER TWO - $1,500
- Logo placement on all collateral pieces including T Shirts and mall signage

TIER THREE - $2,500
- Logo placement on all collateral pieces including T Shirts, mall signage (22” X 28” posters)

- Use of a Retail Merchandising Unit for 30 days prior to the event to promote your business
- 25 Table Clings on the food court tables, produced by sponsor
