Did you that a dog’s tail can tell us a lot more than whether they’re happy? On Tuesday, July 27 at 7:00 pm, the Detroit Zoological Society’s Berman Academy for Humane Education will help participating families learn how they can “read” animals’ tails to better understand what they’re feeling and how understanding what animals are feeling can help people help them.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

They will also read a tale about a stray dog and his journey toward finding a home. By the end of the program, participants will know more about how the DZS ensures the great welfare of the animals who live at the Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Center and how they can help ensure the great welfare of dogs, cats, and other companion animals in their own lives.

Online program registration is required and limited to 50. Visit ropl.org to receive a link for this free program.
