Virtual Event: Biology of SF Bay Invertebrates

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 09/21/2020
In this one-time class, learners will get an introduction of the San Francisco Bay. Throughout the course, we will ask students to make and share their observations. Our experienced Marine Education Staff will guide students through the experience leading the students virtual exploration. We will cover the estuarine habitat and the adaptations these animals have to thrive in the Bay. We will review the general external adaptations of the organisms, and dive deeper into specific invertebrates at our aquarium using actual pictures and footage of our animals. Students will identify invertebrates using our unique pictorial key. Students will be asked to share ideas with the class to help us lead discussions and further the exploration based on student prior knowledge.
