Tales for Tots - Thanksgiving Point

Join us for our weekly storytelling adventure, Tales for Tots, held each Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 11 am. Staff will engage guests with interactive storytelling as well as movement and/or music activities that connect to the story theme of the day. Included with regular venue admission.

January 20 | Butterfly Biosphere Red: A Crayon’s Story by Michael Hall
When a blue crayon is labeled as red, he just can’t seem to find his true self! As parents and friends try to help him be red by drawing strawberries and working with a yellow crayon to draw an orange, he becomes more upset. Will crayon ever truly be red?

January 21 | Museum of Natural Curiosity The Great Race: The Story of the Chinese Zodiac by Christopher Corr
Through this ancient folk tale, discover how each animal gained its place in the Chinese Zodiac. Through the great race the animals were tested, creating friends and enemies.

January 23 | Museum of Ancient Life The Runaway Wok: A Chinese New Year Tale by Ying Chang Compestine
When a young boy goes to the market to buy food and comes home with an old wok instead, his parents worry that they will have nothing to eat for dinner. Just then, the magical wok jumps out of the family’s house and returns with a feast.

January 25 | Farm Country In the Small, Small Pond by Denise Fleming
A child explores the beauty and wonder of the natural world as he discovers all the life in a small freshwater pond. Join in on the fun of discovering plants, insects, animals, and more!

January 27 | Butterfly Biosphere Wonderful Worms by Linda Glaser
Join us to explore the tiny wonders of an earthworm’s world. Watch as they carve paths through the soil and learn how drastically different our world would be without them! 

January 28 | Museum of Natural Curiosity Seaweed Soup by Stuart J. Murphy 
Turtle is such a kind and generous friend, that none of his friends can say no when he offers them a gooey bowl of Seaweed Soup. But turtle is concerned, will he have enough matching place settings for all his friends? 

January 30 | Museum of Ancient Life Tea Rex by Molly Idle
Some tea parties are for grown-ups, some are for little girls, but only the most special are for dinosaurs. What kind of manners would a T-Rex have? And will you have a big enough seat?
