Oyako is a Japanese word meaning adult/child. These great art projects can be done by two! Working together, the parent and child will create an awesome looking piece of art. Kids can also do the lessons by themselves and will just do the complete project.
Oyako Art Club sessions will consist of eight art lessons. The set of eight art lessons will introduce young artists and adults to the basic elements of art. Each lesson will start with exercises that will develop an understanding of the element under study, then finish with an art project involving that element. Topics will include studies in line, shape, color, value, texture, form, and space.
Sessions will be targeted to young artists in the 2nd-6th grade range; however, all who are interested are welcome to participate.
A supply list will be provided before each lesson. Communication between instructor and students will be available before and after each lesson to answer questions, critique work, or provide guidance in obtaining supplies.\
Our next session starts on Wednesday, April 28. All lessons will be on Zoom at 4:00pm Pacific Standard Time and will be 60-90 minutes each. The Zoom link will be provided to those registered for the session.
Next Session Dates: April 28; May 5, 12, 19, 26; June 2, 9, 16
