The Naturalist
Focused on our commitment to stay close to nature, Limber Pine Summer Camp fosters a continued love of nature in adolescents, maintaining a childlike sense of wonder while engaging the complex mind of a young adult. We strive to engage youth, between the ages of 13 and 16, to experience nature while exploring what it means to become a strong and healthy leader of the future, cultivating our values of respect, inclusion, honesty and bravery.

"The Naturalist" is week designed for curious youths who are eager to explore and understand the living world around them. Set in the stunning mountain ecosystems of northern Utah, this immersive experience blends science, art, and adventure. Each day, campers will hike into diverse natural settings to study local flora and fauna, learn their names and ecological roles, and engage in lively discussions, creative projects, and hands-on activities that deepen their connection to nature. Through research, literature, and history, participants will gain a richer appreciation of how these ecosystems function—and how we can better care for them.
Location:
Designed to be dynamic in location, the camp does not operate from a single fixed site. Each morning begins at an easy, commuter-friendly meeting location for drop-off and pick-up, before heading out to explore thoughtfully chosen, previously communicated destinations throughout the Wasatch Mountains.
