Mad Science Summer Camps are 3-hour day camps. Children ages 6-12 do hands-on science experiments with a specific theme for each camp. The program provides all the supplies participants will need for their on-site experiments and activities they can take home. Participants are encouraged to bring a snack and water bottle.
The daily themes for this camp will be as follows:
Grooves, Clues, & Shoes - Set foot into this elementary exploration of evidence. Clue-in on the dirt detectives seek for solving mysteries and catching culprits. You won’t be stepping on Watson’s feet with your own Fingerprint Finder.
Loaded & Encoded - Sink into the science of secrets with cryptology! Crack codes, decipher ciphers, and learn to make your own. Give the Secret Code Wheel a spin and color your encryptions with clever contraptions.
Locked Out - Secrets wouldn’t be so secret if there weren’t some place to keep them! Unlock the science of getting locked out with keys, tumblers and pins. Make your own Secret Safe to keep others from getting in.
Science of Security - Let loose the lasers and make a mischievous maze! Tinker with the technology that might not otherwise be seen. Master using the Spy Glasses and keep an eye on your surroundings.
Scene of the Crime - Clues, culprits, locks and more! The day culminates in a mystery that needs solving; use the Inspectikit to get to the bottom of this caper.
