#GivingTuesday - Tracy Aviary
Birds need toys, and yes, even pool noodles and rubber duckies! Our magpie jays have a rubber ducky they’re quite possessive about, continually hiding it beneath leaves and branches so no one will steal it from them.
Giving Tuesday is a chance for the public to show their support for the birds and help the Aviary save endangered birds and provide current feathered residents with enrichment, as the Aviary has been doing for the last 80 years.
On Giving Tuesday, customers can participate in conservation efforts by donating to help endangered birds, sponsoring a bird from our giving tree, or just by holiday shopping through amazon smile. By shopping through Amazon Smile, customers can select for Tracy Aviary to receive a .05% return on all purchases.
Tracy Aviary keepers created an amazon wishlist for the birds with details on which birds will enjoy each items. The wishlist includes a variety of items at different price points, ranging from bird toys to paint. Many items include a description to help donors understand exactly how they’re helping the birds. Donors can find the list by going to https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/24TIWJUV0EM4U or by searching “Tracy Aviary” on the find a list or registry section on amazon.com.
