Experience the fun and thrill of rock climbing in our beautiful indoor facility through our summer camp programs. Our camps are designed to create a supportive environment where kids can make friends, explore new skills, challenge themselves and build self-confidence. Each camp strives to provide a fun and educational experience to entertain and inspire today’s youth. We provide all necessary gear and a daily snack.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The Climb On camp is our original summer camp program that we offer every year! Participants will learn climbing fundamentals such as rope work, movement and how to use climbing equipment. During this process, they’ll learn life skills such as problem-solving, self-awareness, goal setting, communication and perseverance. These skills can then be carried out of the gym and into their everyday lives. We’ll also have fun games such as no-handed climbing, blind climbing and climbing capture the flag!

We will also be offering special features during a few of the Climb On camps. If you’re interested in any of the following topics, please sign your kiddos up for that week:

« Yoga Special Feature |  Week of June 22 or August 10

Campers will be provided with the opportunity to learn about yoga and develop their practice. Our experienced Yogis will to introduce them to the different styles of yoga, poses, sequences and meditation. Through this, our Yogis will work with the kids to train the body and mind to self-observe and become more aware. The yoga special feature weeks will have two 35-minute sessions of yoga on Tuesday and Thursday.

« Natural History Museum |  Week of July 20

Experienced leaders from the Natural History Museum will spark curiosity and inspire passion for the natural world with engaging activities. NHMU staff will be coming in to lead educational lessons that will cover anything from rocks and minerals, paleontology, Utah wildlife, Native American basketry, native dyes and insects.

« HawkWatch | Week of June 15 or July 13

Campers will have the chance to experience raptors up close and learn about conservation and work to build appreciation for the natural world while touching on Leave No Trace ethics.
