Celebrate The Days of ’47 activities by watching or participating in one of the largest youth parades in the United States on July 21, 2018.

In just a few blocks, you will see marching bands, creatively decorated floats, performing groups and, of course, several thousand children having a grand time.

The 2018 Youth Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. Be sure to get the kids up early and on their way to this fun-filled parade so everyone can beat the heat then enjoy the Family Festival’s learning activities and games at the end of the Parade in Washington Square (200 East and 500 South, Salt Lake City). Parade lineup begins at 8 a.m. The deadline to submit entry applications is April 1st, 2017. Please review the entry forms for additional information.

MORE FUN

The Youth Parade float which best portrays The Days of ’47's 2018 theme “Pioneer Stories - Foundation for the Future” will be selected by the judges then invited to participate in the “Big Parade” on Monday, July 24, 2017. All the Youth Parade’s mini-floats are invited to our Preview Party at South Towne Expo on July 17th and 18th — a great opportunity to see the main Parade floats and talk with their creators. The crowds adore the Youth Parade floats, so don’t miss this opportunity!

The photography release is signed by all participants (or by a parent if the participant is a minor) involved in each Youth Parade entry. These documents must be turned in on the morning of the Parade, either when checking in at the Information Desk on the corner of 600 East and 500 South in Salt Lake, or when one of our Youth Parade volunteers meets with you that morning.
