Explore the rich, often-misunderstood Viking culture like never before with the largest collection of Viking artifacts ever displayed in North America. Featuring more than 500 treasures, some never before seen outside Scandinavia, Vikings shows us why—even 1,000 years later—Viking culture still captivates our imagination. Come discover the Vikings at the grand opening weekend of NHMU's newest special exhibition.

Be among the first to visit the new special exhibition on opening weekend and enjoy other Viking-themed activities for free in the Museum's Canyon. Design and build your very own, one-of-a-kind, Viking shield and examine fascinating specimens and artifacts that show the Viking way of life. There will be activities for all ages.
