It's Columbus Day! Did you know that Columbus Day is the KidsOutAndAbout single busiest day of the year? It's because everyone suddenly needs something to do, and they naturally turn to us for solutions.

Columbus Day Highlights:

Book Baby: At Riverside Library. Parents/guardians and their babies are treated to interactive fun and book exploration.

Penguin Feeding at The Living Planet Aquarium: Watch the penguins being fed, and stick around for a little Q & A with an aquarium educator.

It Came From the Library at Hunter Library, Teens can watch B movies (old sci-fi and horror flicks) at the library every Monday throughout October.

Witch Displays at Gardner Village: The witches are out at Gardner Village. Meander the paths and try to find all of the whimsical witches. Don't forget to look up; some of them are hanging out on the rooftops!

Family Night on the Farm:  Families can head to Farm County for an evening of farm fun, including live animal interactions, hands-on farm activities, and a craft.

Nightmare on 13th - 2012: Four nightmares await guests in this truly scary haunted house.

Pumpkin Days and Haybale Maze at Wheeler Historic Farm: Non-scary Halloween fun for the little ones. Kids can find their way through a hay bale maze, pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, and take a wagon ride through Wheeler Woods.

Black Island Farms Corn Maze and Nightmare Acres: Families can try to find their way through themed corn mazes - choose the haunted maze for a scary experience - and hunt for the perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. Other attractions include hayrides, bonfires, a petting zoo, and more.

Tales with Tau at Herriman Library: Reluctant readers can sign up for a reading session with a therapy dog.

Caiman Talk at The Living Planet Aquarium: An aquarium educator talks about caiman alligators, feeds them, and answers questions about these cool creatures.

Stranglish Brothers Haunted Circus 2012: This super scary haunted house-type attraction features creepy clowns, over 60 themed trailer haunts, and a big top.

Museum Mondays: Dinosaur-related activities and hands-on fun for the family every Monday at the Museum of Ancient Life.

Crazy Corn Maze: Families can try to find their way through themed corn mazes - choose the haunted maze for a scary experience - and hunt for the perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch.

Castle of Chaos - Orem 2012 : The Orem location of this frightening haunted house features five different themed haunts in 2012. Add Hands-on Horror for an extra scary experience.

IMAX: Flying Monsters 3D: Clark Planetarium screens Flying Monsters 3D in its IMAX theater.

Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest: Families can try to find their way through themed corn mazes; choose the haunted maze for a scary experience. Lots of other fall-themed activities are offered, too, including a scarecrow scavenger hunt, a pumpkin patch, a corn cannon, and more.

Wicked-er: It's Not Easy Being Green: Desert Star Theatres presents an original parody.

Petting Zoo and Pony Rides: Head to the west parking lot of Gardner Village to hang out with and pet some farm animals and ride the little ponies. Fees apply.
