Reading is the culmination of earlier learning. Movement, sound discrimination, vocabulary are all important factors when learning how to read.
The Jump Start Reading class gives children the chance to expand skills for sound to symbol associations, chunking letter groups, digraphs, blends, and more. We use movement, discussion, exploration, and drawing to support memory for words. Attention is given to word meaning and language as it applies to early reading.
Instruction is provided and practice given in sequential order and tailored to the students needs. Class taught by a professional educational therapist. Register for one session or more.
This class is held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during the dates listed below:
Session 1 - June 11 through June 28 (9 sessions)
Session 2 - July 2 through July 19 (9 sessions)
Session 3 - July 23 through August 14, no class July 24th (10 sessions)
Home study packets available for enrolled learners.
Class limited to 4 learners.
