Flight LIftoff Festival

Are your ready for liftoff? FLIGHT, our first completely original blockbuster exhibit, officially opens on Saturday August 6, 2016. As part of the opening, we are hosting an all day (9am-5pm) Liftoff Festival on Library Square. This festival is FREE to the public and will be a great time for kids of all ages.

Activities include:
F-35 Flyovers: With permission direct from the pentagon, the US Military’s newest fighter jets will be skimming The Leonardo at 9am, 12pm and 3pm.
Parachute Jumpers: Watch as parachute jumpers aim to hit an impossibly small target on the plaza.
Hot Air Balloon: Next to the museum, watch how an actual hot air balloons take flight. Or, better yet, take one for a ride!
EAA Planes: Come explore various aircraft and see how they work
The Airforce X-1 SuperCar: Come see the fastest, stealthiest car ever created.
Flight Trainer: Learn how and what it takes to fly a plane from specialized trainers from Utah Valley University!
Drones: Experience the excitement and thrill of flying drones.
