City Nature Challenge 2017: The Wasatch Front

We are surrounded by natural beauty in our neighborhoods, parks, open spaces, and even in our downtowns. Between April 14 and April 18, cities across the country are competing to document their urban nature with the iNaturalist app.

Discover the amazing biodiversity of Utah’s natural world by participating with the Natural History Museum of Utah in the National City Nature Challenge. The City Nature Challenge is for the first time coming to Utah. This challenge is meant to showcase our wonderful nature of the Wasatch Front. The Natural History Museum of Utah is partnering with Thanksgiving Point and the Ogden Nature Center to facilitate participation and activities. Participation is done in four steps: Download the free iNaturalist app to your mobile device, Take photos to make observations of wild plants and animals in your backyard, a park, the foothills - anywhere you find nature Upload your photos to iNaturalist. Learn more as the iNaturalist community helps identify your observations. Prizes for individuals and Counties will be awarded.
