Christmas Bird Count for Kids

A tradition for over 100 years, come participate in Tracy Aviary's Christmas Bird count for Kids, a free program for children 8 and up that teaches birding skills and puts them into practice in this year's Audubon Society Christmas Bird count.

Come participate in our 2014 Christmas Bird Count for Kids! This free program is open to children ages 8 and up, and gives them the tools they need to discover amazing birds around them and participate in the Audubon Society's Christmas Bird Count, a Christmas tradition for over 100 years. During the program, Aviary staff will guide participants in learning basics of binoculars use, practicing birding skills in Liberty Park, tallying results over hot cocoa, and celebrating our findings with a special encounter with our trained Bird Show stars!
