Museum Camp is a day camp for youth ages 13-16 who love museums and are interested in having a behind-the-scenes view into what it's like to work in one. Participants with an interest in museums, museum careers, art, paleontology, anthropology, or biology will especially enjoy this camp. The staff at BYU's museums will help you take your love of museums to the next level. You will even have a chance to curate your own display and show off your work in an exhibit at the end of the week!

This is the first time that BYU's Museum of Peoples and Cultures has offered this camp on the Provo campus. Don't miss out!

Immerse yourself in a creative community with other students and BYU museum professionals and faculty.

At Museum Camp you will expand your application of:

  • Art and creativity
  • Writing and English
  • Science
  • Design thinking
  • Critical thinking

Expectations: Participants will be expected to maintain high levels of respect for their peers and teachers, and be open to alternative methods of thinking and working. Participants will also be expected to respect the artifacts, specimens, and artwork.

Basic requirements to participate in BYU Youth Programs:

  • Ability to care for your own personal needs
  • Ability to be attentive and follow directions
  • Ability to act respectfully and appropriately towards others

Because of the immersive nature of this camp, we encourage your youth to leave their phones at home (or leave them with their belongings).
